Flow asset integrations bring device, workplace, and software inventory into organization-owned asset records. Asset sources are organization-wide. Automation and access use their own team-scoped setup.

Capabilities

  • Organization-wide sources for supported inventory providers
  • Manual and scheduled inventory updates
  • Device, person, and location details when the provider supplies them
  • Historical assets remain available after a source is disconnected

Configuration

Configure organization-owned inventory sources from Integrations. Connect the provider, then enable Assets on the connection.

Set up an asset source

1

Add the connection.

Open Integrations → Add connection and choose a supported provider.
2

Choose the inventory capability.

When Flow asks which capability this connection should provide, choose the inventory option before you authorize. Microsoft Intune uses Asset inventory (read only). Google Workspace uses Device and license inventory (read only). Cisco Duo uses Endpoint inventory (read only). Flow selects an automation option until you change it, and that connection can’t sync assets. Skip this step when Flow doesn’t ask.
3

Authorize the provider.

Complete the provider consent flow.
4

Enable Assets.

Open the connection, select the Assets tab, and select Enable.
5

Start the first sync.

For most providers, Enable queues the first sync. For ServiceNow CMDB, enter Filter scope, then select Save and start first sync. See ServiceNow CMDB.
6

Review the first sync.

Review Last sync and Inventory on the Assets tab after it finishes.
For requestable applications and entitlements, use Application access. Use Automation integrations only when an automation needs to call a provider action.

Scopes and permissions

Read-only scopes per provider: see Microsoft Intune, Google Workspace assets, ServiceNow CMDB, Cisco Duo, and Tanium.

Provider availability

The Add connection catalogue in Flow shows current availability.
Okta is not an asset source and does not sync devices. It contributes application and entitlement information; see Okta assets.
