# Application access

> What makes an application or entitlement requestable in Flow.

Requesters ask for application access through the Slack, Microsoft Teams, or email channel their
organization configured. They do not need to choose a provider connection or fulfillment automation.

Microsoft Teams supports application access requests only for the current speaker. Use Slack or email
to request access for another person.

## What must be ready

| Requirement | Why it matters |
| - | - |
| Identity or application data | Defines the application and entitlements |
| **Access management** team capability | Lets the team handle access requests |
| Active catalog item and audience | Makes the request visible to the right people |
| Approval policy | Defines who decides when approval is required |
| Fulfillment connection | Lets an automation make the approved change |

A provider connection alone does not make every discovered application requestable.

## Verify access

  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm Access management is enabled.">

    enabled for the team.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Ask for the application or entitlement.">
    Use a configured requester channel to ask for the application or entitlement.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm the request resolves correctly.">

    path.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Flow does not expose a general application-catalog editor in the browser. If an expected item is
  missing after the checks above, send the details through **Feedback** so the catalog setup can be
  reviewed.
