# Microsoft Intune

> Microsoft Intune managed-device inventory sync into Flow assets.

## What Flow inventories from Microsoft Intune

Microsoft Intune syncs managed devices from your Entra tenant into Flow's organization asset inventory.

## Prerequisites

* Microsoft Intune admin or delegated admin who can approve provider access.
* An organization administrator. Only organization administrators can change asset syncing.
* The Intune tenant you want to sync.

## Prepare the provider

Confirm that the Intune administrator can approve read access to the managed-device inventory.

## Connect in Flow

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add the connection.">
    Open **Integrations → Add connection** and choose Microsoft Intune.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Asset inventory (read only).">
    Flow selects **Device automation** until you change it. That connection can't sync assets, and
    **Enable** isn't available afterward. Choose **Asset inventory (read only)** before you
    authorize. To add device automation later, connect Microsoft Intune again.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the connection flow.">
    Approve the requested read access to the managed-device inventory.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable Assets.">
    Open the connection, select the **Assets** tab, and select **Enable**. Flow queues the first
    sync.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the first sync.">
    Review **Last sync** and **Inventory** on the **Assets** tab.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Capabilities

Microsoft Intune provides organization-wide managed-device inventory. You can run a first sync immediately and schedule later syncs from the source.

## Use Intune actions in automations

For provider actions inside an automation, see the [Microsoft Intune integration](/automations/connectors/microsoft-intune).

## Sync and behavior

Review the source status and resulting records under **Assets** after the first sync.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | What to check |
| - | - |
| Connection fails | Confirm that the Intune administrator can approve the requested read access. |
| No assets appear | Check the source status, then run the first sync again after correcting access. |
| Permission error | Update the provider access, then reconnect the source. |
