# Cisco Duo

> Cisco Duo endpoint inventory and user ownership evidence sync into Flow assets.

## Cisco Duo inventory

Cisco Duo syncs endpoint inventory and user ownership evidence into Flow's organization asset inventory through the Duo Admin API. The asset source is organization-wide and separate from team connections used for Duo automation actions.

## Prerequisites

* A Duo administrator who can grant Admin API read access to endpoint inventory.
* A Flow admin who can manage integrations.

## Prepare the provider

Confirm that the Duo administrator can provide Admin API access with read permission for endpoints.

## Connect in Flow

Cisco Duo asset sync is set up from the **Integrations** page.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Integrations and search for Cisco Duo." />

  <Step title="Choose Endpoint inventory (read only)." />

  <Step title="Complete the connection flow.">
    Provide the Duo Admin API access requested by the connection step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the first sync.">
    Open the connection's **Assets** tab and select **Enable**. Flow queues the first sync. Then
    review **Last sync** and **Inventory**. To run another sync, select **Sync**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Capabilities

* Endpoint inventory
* User ownership evidence used for asset assignment
* Full-sweep sync on each run
* Provider throttling status on the source

## Sync and behavior

* Each sync reads the full Duo endpoint inventory.
* Assignment decisions you make in Flow, such as reassigning an asset, are not overwritten when Duo resyncs.
* Reconnecting the source keeps existing asset history.
* Disconnecting the source preserves historical assets while stopping new syncs.

## Use Duo actions in automations

For provider actions inside an automation, see the [Cisco Duo integration](/automations/connectors/duo-security).

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | What to check |
| - | - |
| Cisco Duo does not appear as an asset source | Connect it from **Integrations** and choose **Endpoint inventory (read only)**. |
| Connection fails | Confirm that the Admin API credentials can read endpoints. |
| No assets appear | Check the source status, then run the sync again after correcting access. |
| Sync is throttled | Wait for the throttling status to clear, then run the sync again. |
