# Notion

> Search and update Notion pages and databases from automations.

export const flowWebUrl = "https://app.letsflow.ai";

Flow uses this integration to search pages, read page details, query data sources, and create pages in Notion from automations. Select **Notion** in **Integrations → Add connection** to connect with OAuth. Internal-token connections need separate administrator configuration; a token is not an authentication choice in that wizard.

        1. Open **Integrations** and choose **Add connection**.
        2. Search for **Notion**.
        3. Select the **Notion** card to open the connection wizard.

        2. In **Permissions**, select **Automations**, then choose **Continue**. **Knowledge (read only)** uses a separate connection.
        3. Enter a connection name and choose **Connect** to open the OAuth authorization window.
        4. On the Notion authorization screen, select the workspace.
        5. Choose the pages and databases Flow can access, then choose **Allow access**.
        6. After connecting, configure **Automations** on the connection page and allow only the actions its automations need.

    ### Prepare in Notion

    <Note>
      The **Notion** wizard in **Integrations → Add connection** uses OAuth only. Ask your Flow administrator whether your environment supports internal-token connections and where to connect before you prepare a token. Internal-token connections require separate administrator configuration; that configuration does not add a token option to this wizard.
    </Note>

    <Steps>
      <Step title="Create an internal integration">
        Open [Notion integrations](https://app.notion.com/developers/connections), create a connection, and set its type to **Internal**.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Choose capabilities">
        Enable **Read content** for read actions. Enable insert or update capabilities only when the automations using this connection need write actions.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Copy the token">
        In the connection's **Configuration** tab, copy the internal integration token. New tokens start with `ntn_`; older tokens can start with `secret_`.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Share Notion content">
        Open each top-level page or database that Flow should access. Use **••• → Connections** to add the internal integration. Child pages inherit access from their shared parent.
      </Step>
    </Steps>

    <Warning>
      A valid token can connect even when no pages are shared. If an automation receives `object_not_found` or search returns no content, share the relevant page or its parent with the internal integration. Some agent, session, meeting-note, and administration actions also require eligible Notion plans and workspace permissions.
    </Warning>

    <Note>
      An internal-token connection provides Notion actions to automations. It does not create a Notion knowledge source. OAuth requires a separate authorization grant; it does not reuse the token's capabilities or shared content.
    </Note>

        3. This catalogue entry supports OAuth setup only. Its advertised **API KEY** method does not provide a token selector or a separate token entry.
